My recent stay at Barbican House exceeded all my high expectations, thanks to the impeccable hospitality of the owner, Durga, who warmly welcomed us and provided invaluable insights into the charming town of York. The spacious room was not only spotlessly clean but also featured modern amenities like a flat-screen TV and thoughtful touches like a well-stocked electric kettle for tea and coffee, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. I particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfast, lovingly prepared by Durga's wife, and the beautiful garden just outside was an idyllic spot to unwind. The hotel's prime location, with easy access to the Shambles and nearby eateries, made our experience even more delightful; I wholeheartedly recommend Barbican House for anyone seeking a cozy and welcoming stay in York.
